I’m on a mission to level the playing field for professional parents in the UK.
I work with professional parents privately and through my partnerships with corporate companies.
My background as a Projects Director and ALS facilitator means I focus on the practical, structured side of helping parents return to work, grow and succeed in the careers they’ve worked so hard for whilst still showing up as the parent they want to be.
Through this work I’ve uncovered just how murky and unclear the UK maternity leave can be and sadly I hear horror stories almost every day of how this has been detrimental to parents careers and lives.
Alongside my work with professional parents and the companies that employ them I’m on a mission to get my free maternity leave plan into 1,000 hands in the UK.
I believe that so many of the challenges I’m hired to solve can be improved when managers and employees know what to expect throughout the maternity leave process and what both parties need to do at each stage.

Maternity Leave Project Plan
Research shows that when employees are supported and treated with respect during pregnancy, parental leave, and return, they are far more likely to stay with their company and progress within it.
This is a shared tool for managers and employees to use together ensuring clarity, reducing stress, and supporting a smooth transition in and out of work.
Founder of Move Thru
I’m right in this with all you professional parents out there. Balancing a spirited little one, a busy career and a packed home life means I understand first hand what it takes to keep everything moving.
As Projects Director at Time Inc. and managing teams across more than 65 brands including Marie Claire, Instyle and NME Magazine I led large teams and the majority of those teams were made up of women. In an entirely selfish act of wanting to retain some of my best talent following their maternity leave I became closely involved in the policies, processes and management decisions that helped them stay and progress in their careers.
Later in New York I led global projects at the branding agency CO OP, managing both the client services team and studio. I continued supporting employees navigating parental leave, expanding my experience across both UK and US parental leave systems.
Back in the UK at Amazon UK I was yet again working in a high performance environment, this time I became a mother myself and experienced first hand what it takes to navigate career and parenthood at the same time.
The bit before
The turning point
Becoming a mother reshaped how I see success. With two ambitious careers in our household and both of us chasing big personal goals as well, (often involving travel) I had to build systems that genuinely work. Practical, sustainable frameworks that support both career and home life.
Those frameworks became the foundation of MoveThru: an approach that helps professional mothers design lives that work for them, not against them. My focus is on giving women the tools and structure they need so that motherhood becomes an accelerator, not a blocker, to their ambitions.
The work
This work is about bringing clarity and structure to one of the most unpredictable periods of a professional career. I help parents and the companies that employ them put practical plans and systems in place so pregnancy, maternity leave and the return to work are far less chaotic and much more manageable.
Sometimes that means helping an individual parent think through childcare, work routines and the conversations they need to have with their employer. Other times it means working with companies to make sure their policies and processes actually work for the people using them.
The aim is always the same: fewer talented parents leaving careers they’ve worked hard for and far more feeling able to stay, grow and succeed.
